The Annual Report describing the operation of the Deseronto Drinking Water System during 2011 is now complete.  The Report provides information on the water treatment process, system capacity, laboratory testing, as well as system maintenance and improvements.  Copies of the Report are available at Town Hall located at 331 Main Street or can be downloaded from the Town website: http://deseronto.ca/departments/water-sewer/#reports. 

The Town of Deseronto is very excited to announce that the new Deseronto Fitness Recreation Centre (located at the Deseronto Community Centre - 51 Mechanic St.) was opened to the public effective Jan 9^th, 2012!  Made possible with a $64,000 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation, the Fitness Centre features a selection of brand new, user friendly cardio and strength training equipment including treadmills, recumbent & upright bikes, total body trainers, Jacob’s Ladder, various strength and weight machines and free weight equipment.  The facility will also feature TV’s and Satellite for entertainment while working out, change rooms/showers, and an automated membership system. Membership passes can be purchased from the Fitness Centre as of Jan 9^th.

NOTICE TO ALL RESIDENTS AND BUSINESSES RE: WASTE/RECYCLING CURBSIDE PICK-UP CHANGE

The Waste/Recycling curbside pick-up will change to Tuesday effective Feb 7, 2012.

Waste & recyclables should be placed by the roadside no later than 7:00am to ensure pick-up. A complete bag tag must be attached to each garbage bag to ensure pick-up. Tags can be purchased for $2.00 each from the Town Hall and most Deseronto convenience/grocery stores.  Recyclables must be placed in a Blue or Grey Box, clear plastic bag or sturdy container/bin.  Blue Boxes can be purchased at the Deseronto Town Hall for $10 each or from area retail stores.  Copies of Waste/Recycle collection schedules & acceptable item guides are available at www.deseronto.ca or in person at the Town Hall - 331 Main St.

From Jan 1st to Mar 31st of each year, dog tags can be purchased for $15.00 each.  Effective Mar 31st of each year, the price of dog tags increases to $20.00 each.
