Water/Waste Water
The Town of Deseronto is responsible for Municipal Water/Sewer service readings & billings. All service inquiries and payments should be forwarded to the Town of Deseronto. Water/Sewer service bills are issued bi-monthly. For meter readings to be conducted in a timely manner it is important that your meter is as accessible as possible to meter reading staff. Please ensure your meter is kept clear of any obstacles such as vegetation and debris.

Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion
The Town of Deseronto Water Pollution Control Plant treats wastewater received from the municipal collection system and from the serviced area of the neighbouring Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte Territory. Constructed in the early 1970’s, it is an aging facility in need of major equipment upgrades as well as additional hydraulic capacity to accommodate growth and to treat peak extraneous flows. By-passing of the treatment process has occurred infrequently during extreme wet weather events due to inadequate hydraulic capacity.
To eliminate treatment process by-passing and to upgrade the facility to current design standards, the Town is moving forward with the required upgrades and expansion. As part of the planning phase, a Schedule C, Municipal Class Environmental Assessment was conducted during 2012. (Please see the links below to review the study report and related documents.)
The Town is now soliciting interest from selected qualified consultants to complete the detailed design and provide contract administration for the construction phase of the project. Completion of the new facility is anticipated by the end of 2015.
