$150 million reported lost due to fraud in 2020

Ontario police promoting campaign during fraud preventions month

March is Fraud Preventions Month.

Police forces across Ontario are promoting this campaign.

According to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre, there were over 68, 452 reports of fraud in 2020 resulting in over $150 Million lost.

OPP Inspector Krista Miller says scammers will contact potential victims through a number of avenues.
