The Town of Deseronto and the Deseronto Culture and Recreation Committee invite you to join us February 17th at the Deseronto Community Recreation Centre for a full day of Family Fun!
Our activities run from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm all day.

UPDATE: Deseronto Transit is offering free transit to and from the Deseronto Community Recreation Centre on Family Day! The bus will start departing every 45 minutes from the Deseronto Community Recreation Centre at 06:45 am. We offer accessible transportation for those in need. Seating is on a first come first serve basis. Capacity is driver managed.
7:00 am - 11:00 am Pancake Breakfast hosted by Deseronto Volunteer Fire Department. There is a nominal charge for folks to help cover the breakfast. $7.00/adults - $3.00/children 5-12 - $1.00/5 and under.
Join the Deseronto Fire Department as they serve up some tasty pancakes!
9:00 am - 4:00 pm Nature Experiences with Quinte Conservation - Interactive Displays of interest to all ages!
Our Watersheds Model – Flooding to Drought and Water Protection, learn tips and techniques to manage your section of the watershed or waterfront.
Water Bugs Display (just the preserved specimens – can’t get the live stuff in Feb) – How we use water bugs as indicators of water health!
Nature’s Mysteries Display – A table with items from nature (skulls, antlers, fossils, microscope to study wings, etc).
Rock Painting – paint a nature stone (we have paint markers and plenty of stones).
Pine cone bird feeder making (made with spruce or pine cones, shortening, peanut-free bird seed and string).
10:00 am - 12 Noon– Speed Skating Demonstration with Quinte Blades Speed Skating Club.
Canada wins many medals at speed skating! Why not join us for an exhibition by Quinte Blades Speed Skating Club? Learn about speed skating and try it out for yourself.
10:30 am - 2:30 pm Face Painting and Tattoos with Randy the Magicman.
Come out for some great face painting.

12:00 pm - 3:00 pm Deseronto Fitness Center - Open House and Family Fitness Challenge!

12:00 pm - 4:00 pm Public Skating and Visits with the characters from Frozen, Elmo and a Minion!
Enjoy a skate and a chat with a character from Frozen, Elmo or a Minion.

1:00 pm - 4:00 pm Wagon Rides
Get out for a wagon ride. See some horses and have some fun!
