Environment Canada Storm Prediction Centre has identified up to 40mm of rain occurring in the area during the next 24 hour period.
On Thursday temperatures will be above freezing for portions of the day, resulting in snow melt. Frozen ground has a reduced ability to absorb rainfall and there is potential for localized flooding.
Environment Canada is predicting a drop in temperature could bring freezing rain Thursday afternoon resulting in as much as 5mm of ice accretion.
